Montrose PTO would like to be even more green! In an effort to save more trees, we will not be sending home a copy of Moosetracks to every student anymore. You can sign up for our emails to receive it monthly along with other important information, or you can read it here on our website. There will be hard copies available outside of the office, and on the Remington Side in the literature racks. As always, if you have any questions please feel free to email the PTO presidents, Alli Arney or Emily Perfect.
Hopefully, you saw the Read-A-Thon packet yesterday in your child’s backpack! We are so excited to launch our fall fundraiser, Read-a-Thon 2017. Our goal for Read-a-Thon is to raise $6,000 and read 40,000 minutes as a school. We use this money to pay for the choir shirts, Summer reading pizza party, and the winter dance, and help fund other projects! This fundraiser is in place of selling any items, so no more wrapping paper, cookie dough, or candy bars! Each student will have an opportunity to win awesome prizes and prizes for their whole class! Your student will bring home their packet on October 24, get your library cards ready and READ! **Money and reading logs are due November 8, 2017.**
Extra Reading logs, pledge sheets, and the prize flyer can be found on the PTO bulletin boards at the Montrose, Remington and Main entrance doors, or you can print from here. As always we appreciate your help, and look forward to this being a big success!
We know everyone is still rounding up those last minute glue sticks and colored pencils! Can’t wait to see everyone on Wednesday! School Supply List 2017
The Annual Montrose Spring Arts Festival and PTO Cookout will be held on Thursday evening, May 4th.
The halls of Montrose are transformed into an awesome art gallery, filled with student art work that has been done throughout the year. To help prepare this astounding feat, Mrs Reiser, the fabulous Montrose art teacher, is looking for volunteers to help her install the art throughout Montrose. You can check out the Sign Up Genius by Clicking HERE to see the available times you can sign up to help. Thanks in advance!
PTO Volunteers will be firing up the grills for the PTO Cookout. There is a Sign Up Genius set up for the folks that would like to help this popular event run smoothly. If you are looking for a fun volunteer evening Click HERE to see available times and consider signing up today!
Look forward to seeing everyone at Montrose for the Montrose Spring Arts Festival and PTO Cookout.
As we are heading into the final months of the school year, we have a lot to juggle. March is relatively low maintenance, but coming back from spring break will catapult us into the busy season! We hope this calendar of events and ways you can be involved helps with your planning! As we all know, we are losing two grades this year we will have many BIG shoes to fill, if you are a parent of a younger child, we are looking at YOU to step up!! Not sure how you can best serve the PTO? We are always here to help and answer questions. One of our teachers recently told me, that when she interviewed she asked, “What makes this school special?” and the answer was the parent involvement! To me, that says so much about this community. It takes a village, and we are one lucky village. Thank you for all that you do Montrose parents, you rock!
