Montrose PTO would like to be even more green! In an effort to save more trees, we will not be sending home a copy of Moosetracks to every student anymore. You can sign up for our emails to receive it monthly along with other important information, or you can read it here on our website. There will be hard copies available outside of the office, and on the Remington Side in the literature racks. As always, if you have any questions please feel free to email the PTO presidents, Alli Arney or Emily Perfect.
As we are heading into the final months of the school year, we have a lot to juggle. March is relatively low maintenance, but coming back from spring break will catapult us into the busy season! We hope this calendar of events and ways you can be involved helps with your planning! As we all know, we are losing two grades this year we will have many BIG shoes to fill, if you are a parent of a younger child, we are looking at YOU to step up!! Not sure how you can best serve the PTO? We are always here to help and answer questions. One of our teachers recently told me, that when she interviewed she asked, “What makes this school special?” and the answer was the parent involvement! To me, that says so much about this community. It takes a village, and we are one lucky village. Thank you for all that you do Montrose parents, you rock!
The 2017 Annual Montrose Fun For All was held on Saturday, February 25 at Montrose Elementary. The Fun For All is the annual school carnival, held in the gym, cafe and the ground level of the school. There was plenty of fun games to play, activities to take part in and, of course, the famous CAKE WALK was a huge hit with young and old.
Thanks to all those that volunteered in so many different ways to make this event a huge success and Fun For All!
The 2016 Bexley Festival Of The Arts was full of holiday cheer as shoppers strolled through Montrose, browsing items from vendors young and old. The live entertainment was outstanding, featuring choirs, orchestra, solo performers and hip hop crews.
Click HERE for a list of vendors that set up shop at this year’s Bexley Festival Of The Arts, in case you missed them. Some have links to their websites or social media pages.
Thanks to everyone that stopped in and the many volunteers that made the event a great success.
On Thursday night, November 17th, plenty of folks filled the Montrose Cafe to support the Montrose Elementary PTO, by enjoying a spaghetti dinner.
Thanks to Miss Jessica and all the volunteers that made the night such a great success.
Cardboard of all shapes and sizes was used to create cool art on the Montrose Playground on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
It was a beautiful morning of creativity and play, as kids young and old used their imagination to come up with all sorts of things to construct from cardboard.
Thanks to the Montrose PTO, Columbus Museum of Art, Bexley City Schools and Lowe’s for their support of this great day. Special thanks, of course, goes to Emily Reiser, the wonderful art teacher at Montrose.
Thanks to Dean Gardner for all the hard work he contributed to the Montrose Elementary PTO Parade Float, that was in the Bexley 4th of July Parade. The float looked amazing and received so many compliments. From his first rendering of the float, to the finished product, it was a job well done!
